Simple Classic Rice Krispie Square Recipe


2 tablespoons of butter

1 bag of small Marshmallows around 10.5 oz

6 cup of rice krispie

1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract


In a large glass bowl place 2 tablespoon of butter in it and microwave it for 30 seconds or till the butter is fully melted.

Pour 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract in to the butter and then pour the bag of marshmallows in the glass blow.

Using a spatula mix the marshmallows and butter together till all the marshmallow is fully coated with the butter.

Place the bowl in the microwave for 30 sec and melt the marshmallow.  Take it out of the bowl mix the marshmallows again.  At this point you can either melt the marshmallows a bit more if you like the marshmallow chunky like the ones in Starbucks or you can melt it for another 20 seconds to have it fully melted.

Once its melted to your preference pour the rice krispie in to the bowl and fold the cereal in to the marshmallow.

Place the mix in to a square pan and flatten the top gently.  Afterwards cut out a piece of parchment paper the size of the try and flip the rice krispie square on to the parchment paper and let it cool.  Once its cooled you can cut it in to squares and serve.


If you rice krispies squares are soggy it is because you used too much better.
